Accessibility statement
We want this site to work for everyone, whatever device or assistive technology you use.
Our aim
This website has been designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That covers colour contrast, text sizing, keyboard operation and how content is announced by screen readers.
What we have done
- A skip link so keyboard users can jump straight to the main content of each page.
- Semantic headings in a logical order, and one main landmark per page.
- Visible focus indicators on every link, button and control.
- Descriptive text alternatives for photographs of our work.
- Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones and tablets.
- Text that reflows and remains readable when zoomed to 200%.
- Colour contrast checked against AA thresholds in both light and dark surfaces.
- Reduced-motion preferences respected, so animations stop if your device asks for that.
Known limitations
Our quote forms and the embedded Google Map are provided by third parties, so we do not control their accessibility. If either is difficult for you to use, contact us directly and we will take your enquiry by phone, WhatsApp or email instead — no one should have to use a form to reach us.
Telling us about a problem
If you find something on this site hard to use, please tell us. Email richard@rjselectricalcheshire.co.uk or call 07990 844234 and describe the page and the difficulty. We will do what we reasonably can to fix it and will always provide the information another way in the meantime.
